    Description

Currently, the button in a Modal footer that closes the modal is sometimes called Close and sometimes Cancel. While this subtle difference sometimes might make sense depending on the context, it should be used consistently.

Maybe franz.heidl has some input on this.

Example: Deleting a Report from Report View mode, the button is called "Close", while when deleting a Dashboard from Dashboard View mode, the button is called "Cancel".
