      • given:
        • An old version of Optimize
        • I use configurations that will be deprecated with the next version of Optimize
        • I upgrade Optimize to the new version
      • when:
        • I start the new/upgrade version of Optimize
      • then:
        • Optimize does not startup with an error:
          • the error is complaining about that the user is using deprecated configuration settings and therefore Optimize can't start up
          • the error is telling which settings those are
          • the error is providing a link to the Optimize configuration page to see where I can find the latest version of the settings
          • the error is listing all deprecated configuration keys not just e.g. the first
          • if one higher level key is deprecated but multiple subentries present there is just one deprecation error for the highest level key

      Hints:

      • deprecated means that the configurations might have moved to another path or have been completely removed from Optimize
      • as an example you can use the email alerting settings which have been moved to another path
