      AT:

      • every night there is a Jenkins job running, testing that Optimize works with an AWS Elasticsearch service instance
      • ideally it's another parallel step of the existing Elasticsearch compatibility test pipeline

      Note:
The AWS Elasticsearch instance can be reached under https://vpc-optimize-es-test1-mniyd6oio2w5hhzrkncykqg36e.eu-central-1.es.amazonaws.com from our ci kubernetes namespace

      Context:
In the future Amazons AWS Elasticsearch version might introduce restrictions on the API that do restrict Optimize in its features set. Hence, we do not add Amazon's ElasticSearch service to the official supported environments, but we will add tests to make sure that the Amazon ElasticSearch Service works with Optimize. If this test fails (e.g. because Amazon changes certain things) we can communicate it to customers early.
