Sort date reports ascending by default

      Context:

      Currently, the backend sorts date report descending by default, then the frontend reverses that sorting to display the dates asceding in the UI. With OPT-3837, the frontend will remove the sorting reversal, so the backend should adjust the default sorting for date reports to be ascending.
