Currently, an upgrade will fail if there is a snapshot in progress. We can't really prevent this and can't check for snapshot information as this is configurable, but we should consider including a note in the documentation warning users to check that no snapshots are in progress at the time the upgrade is performed.

At best snapshot scheduling should get deactivated for the time window of running the upgrade and only activated again after the upgrade completed.
