Process instance variable filter with empty string

      What are the steps to reproduce your problem?

      1. Process instance with an empty string variable
      2. Process report with process instance variable filter
      3. Use the empty string variable in the filter

      What is the problem?
      Report creation fails with the following error:

      What would be the expected behavior:
      The report is created successfully.
      Empty strings are treated as "Null"

      Hints (optional):
