Context:

The variable data that is received at the new variable ingestion API endpoint needs to be stored in a dedicated external variable index.

Note: As discussed in the meeting (), we'll aim to remove variable data after it's been written to their respective instances. We'll also be adding a rollover to it.

AT:

• A new index is added to store external variable data
• Data received at the external variable endpoint is stored in this new index
• This index is also cleared with reimport
