Description
We are in the process of adding compatibility for Optimize to be usable with Java 17. We should also change our language level to Java 17 to give us the option to use powerful new language features (we mostly use 8 level features, occasionally something higher <= 11 in new code). We must ensure that Optimize is still compatible with Java 11, as we intend to continue to support this in future
