Context:
We added support for importing and flattening complex variable. This can make variable names extremely long. If the user wanted to group by a variable and the variable submenu is extremely long, it might overflow out of the screen window and become not very visible to the user, as shown in the attached screenshot.
AT:
- Truncate long names at a certain width and add a tooltip instead
Justification:
Removes pain point with using new complex variable feature
Testing notes:
- Add a deeply nested complex variable into Optimize
- Open the group by variable submenu
