• given:
  • I have 8 GB ram or less on windows/mac computer
  • I download the full optimize distribution
• when:
  • I start optimize (including elasticsearch)
• then:
  • It fails to start
• expected:
  • it starts without any problems

Hint:
Elasticsearch uses to much heapspace for those systems. We should reduce the amount to 1GB. See here how to do that using the jvm options file: https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/master/setting-system-settings.html#jvm-options
