Enable event based processes in Camunda Cloud (External source)

      What is the desired functionality that you are missing?

      Event based processes are not enabled for our cloud products. It is disabled by configuration. We would like this to be enabled and for it to support events that come from external events.

      Context: Given, When, Then

      Given: I have ingested external events into my Optimize cloud (CCSM/Saas) instance
      When: I create an event based process within Optimize
      Then: External event data is available as a selectable data source
      And: External event data gets published to event process instances within Optimize

      Hint:

      • The external event API needs to be enabled for Optimize cloud mode for this to be successful
      • This may work out of the box for external events. However, we would also need to exclude Zeebe events from EBPs for this to be considered a usable product
