      Problem Definition

      User Story

      As an Optimize administrator
I want to know when data didn't import correctly
So that I can decide on the right nested document limit

      User Stories

      • (MH) As a process owner, I want to know when a process instance doesn't import properly so I can escalate as necessary
      • (MH) When a process instance doesn't import correctly, I want to know the reason so I can troubleshoot and address the root cause
      • (NTH) As an admin, I want to know immediately when data doesn't import properly so I can address the issue

PM Notes (Customer requests, context, assumptions)

      • The process owner needs to know to whether it's a problem, how bad the problem is, and what to do about it
*The admin needs to know the same as a process owner but also needs to know how to fix it
        • Increasing the nested document limit is one way an admin can address the problem (for C7 and C8SM)
      • A basic solution is worth a few engineer-days in Q2. If there aren't any low-hanging fruit, we will have to scope this out properly and delay until a later quarter
      • Blocking data import is a heavy-handed notification method. This should never be necessary.

      Solution Definition

      Solution Ideas

      • Increasing the default max is another way to relieve the pain that customers are currently facing
      • Setting Skip data to True

      Design Notes (Videos, mockups, guidance)

      User Scenario

      GIVEN
      (MH/SH/NTH) WHEN
      (MH/SH/NTH) THEN

      Metrics (if applicable)

      • Record a Mixpanel event when data is skipped due to the nested document limit

This is the controller panel for Smart Panels app
