Java compatibility tests timing out repeatedly

      Context:

      Of the past 10 runs of the Java compatibility pipeline, 6 failed and it looks like this is due to IT taking too long to complete and eventually causing a timeout. We should investigate why this is and whether the cause can be resolved so that the job is more reliable.
