At the moment our HLRC doesnt have the compatibility mode turned on and it can therefore not communicate with an ES8 server. In order to achieve this we have to turn on the compatibility mode on the HLRC client.
Additionally, in order to ensure that our ITs properly pass against the ES8 version, we need to run them against the ES8 server.
ATs:
- The compatibility mode is turned on
- The ITs run against ES8
HOW TO TEST:
- Install the latest ES8 minor version and run Optimize with it.
- You can try to play around with all features and see if there is any issue.
- We additionally need to check that the reimport works fine with ES 8.X
- When testing the reimport we should try to test what happens when elastic search uses custom headers as well.
- We also need to test that the upgrade from old Optimize using 7.x and new Optimize using 8.x works.
- When testing the upgrade we should test what happens when ES uses custom headers as well.
QA Notes:
- Should focus on C7 and C8SM
- Test with ES 8.0.0, 8.5.0, 8.5.1, 8.6.1
- Optimize shouldn't work with 8.0.0
