When modifying a process instance with a single cancel instruction, then the instances are preselected by the activity to cancel

XMLWordPrintable

      Scenario:

      • I create a modification of multiple process instances
      • I submit a single cancel instruction (for activity X) and any number of start instructions (example: moving a token badge from one activity to the other)

      Current behavior:

      • in the "select instances" screen, all process instances are selected by default

      Desired behavior:

      • There is a preselected filter by activity id, set to the activity id X of the cancel instruction

      Reasoning:

      • This ensures that this modification is only executed on instances that are actually active in X

      Limitations:

      • This filter is only preselected if there is a single cancel instruction; the semantics with multiple cancel instructions would not be clear (e.g. a process instance can be in both activities, but there can also be instances that are only in one of them; it is not clear which instances the user intends to modify)
