I can resolve the called element from a Call Activity in Cockpit

XMLWordPrintable

    • Type: Feature Request
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Priority: L3 - Default
    • 7.16.0, 7.16.0-alpha5
    • Affects Version/s: None
    • Component/s: None

      User Story (Required on creation):

Processes contain call activities and operators would like to quickly navigate between processes in a hierarchy.

      Functional Requirements (Required before implementation):

      • For process definitions with call activity that have a static binding to a called process, a user can navigate within the diagram to the called process definition and back
      • This is possible on the process definition runtime and history view (i.e. not in the process instance view where users can already do this after a call activity was executed)

      Technical Requirements (Required before implementation):

      • to be decided: Frontend only or have a REST call that resolves the called processes (Cockpit-internal endpoint)?

      Limitations of Scope (Optional):

      Hints (Optional):

      • The UX should be consistent with how the linking works in the process instance view
      • Cawemo has a similar feature and we can try to make the Cockpit feature consistent with it. We can reach out to volker.gersabeck and curran.dwyer for a sync
