Problem
- Mockito does not work with IBM JDK 8
- I tried to run the tests with the latest version of the IBM JDK, which solved such problems in the past; it did not help this time
- After some further investigation, I have the hypothesis that this is a bug in IBM JDK 8 (or openj9 it is relying on); since the tests work on all other JDKs, I'll skip them for now
