Documentation Fix in 7.14: How to add a cockpit plugin to camunda

      Acceptance Criteria (Required on creation):

Documentation is updated to include the process for how to add a cockpit plugin to the 7.14.0 distribution of Camunda Platform.

Hints (Optional): See https://forum.camunda.org/t/minimal-cockpit-history-plugins-for-camunda-7-14-0/24651/8 for additional context and a workaround solution that could be added to the documentation as a stopgap/to fill in missing information.

[CAM-13545] Documentation Fix in 7.14: How to add a cockpit plugin to camunda

            Hey kiran.oliver,

there are a few things mixed into the forum thread.

For 7.14. we have documentation on how to add Cockpit plugins here.

However, in the forum, the users used Camunda Run (+ Docker) where we currently don't support Plugins. As Tobi mentioned in the thread: Official support and documentation of Cockpit Plugins in Camunda Run might come with a future release.

Let me know if I missed something but I currently don't see any need for action here.

Hi miklas.boskamp! Thank you for the context!

Would it be possible to add a note in the documentation that Camunda Run + Docker doesn't currently support plugins, and a note that official support and documentation of cockpit plugins in Camunda Run might come w/a future release?

Perhaps in the 'Plugin Compatibility' container?

If not, no worries. I suggest this so that we can perhaps point people to the documentation and if that's their first touchpoint they will have an answer immediately rather than having to post on the forums, if that makes sense!

tobias.metzke miklas.boskamp Thank you so much for the prompt response. Would it be possible to perhaps verify this information and if it's found to be credible, make that update that mentioned in the guide that Cockpit Plugins aren't supported out of the box in Run? Is that something I can help with, or is that verification process on your end? Happy to help!

miklas.boskamp Fantastic! Thank you so much! I appreciate you looking into this for me. Once the documentation has been updated, would you be so kind as to link it in the comment thread?

If I can be of help in any way, please don't hesitate to ask!
