NPE when I open compare mode for synchronized projects

      Reproduce steps:
      change a file in a synchronized project (GIT/SVN/???).
      change the file and start diff mode via double click on the changed file

      Problem:
      NPE appears

      Expected behavior:
      diff mode appears

      Hints (optional):
      Bug since version 2.4.0

        This is the controller panel for Smart Panels app
