- can we remove better-dom from cockpit / admin and replace it with placeholders.js (used in tasklist)

Some shims (scripts to provide features who are not supported by a browser) were added to the webapps.
Generally speaking, they should be avoided and actually, it looks llike some of them are not event relevant for the browser versions we do support.
