I cannot reproduce the bug with the latest 7.3.0 snapshot on tomcat and IE9. Did you clear the browser cache?
I know that there are several bugs related to IE9, specially when in combination with WebSpehere application server. Can you please tell us more about the affected version and you environment?
Cheers

I am unable to edit the Jira so add such info.
We are currently using Camunda 7.2, with apache-tomcat-7.0.57, and the camunda-webapp build using a Maven overlay. (No customization done in this area tho)

with the latest version of 7.2 I can reproduce the bug. As a workaround you can do the following:
Click on the Groups/User Button
Enter the name in the input field
---> after value input the Groups/User Button works as expected
In the past we had some bugs related to IE9 that where very hard to fix. So I cannot promise a fast solution for this problem. Is it possible for you to use another browser or version of IE?

Thanks Michael for that information. We can use the work around and different browsers for now (whilst in development) yes. However we do plan to release into a production environment in the near future where we won't be able to force uses into what browser they my use. Hopefully we'll see 7.3 out sooner than later and will be able to take advantage of the fixes.
Thanks very much
