Clipboard Widget can work with undefined variables

      Currently, we check whether a value is defined or not when we are using the clipboard widget (see for example here).

      AT:

      • The Clipboard widget should support an undefined value so that this check is not needed when using the widget.
      • The then unnecessary check is removed where the widget is used
