Scenario:

For large volumes of historical data, the historic process instance query by process definition ID can involve full table scans and therefore perform badly. The performance should be improved, because this is the default search query when accessing the process definition history view in Cockpit.

Hints:

An index on the column ACT_HI_PROCINST.PROC_DEF_ID_ seems to improve the performance (see linked support issue).
