      The new Hierarchical History Cleanup mechanism includes Historic Decision Instances in the cleanup process.

      • HDIs can be started as parts of a BPM process or as separate entities. This needs to be taken into account, since in the former HDIs receive the REMOVAL_TIME_ of the root HPI, but in the latter, the HDIs TTL is used.
