Background:
We realized that typeahead and dropdowns are becoming very similar in behavior, for example:

• We added a button to typeahead to open it which makes it very similar to dropdowns
• We are also going to add searching to dropdowns

So maybe it makes sense to use only one component that is configurable.
But we also need to consider the differences between the different types of dropdowns (Submenus, multiple selections)
