Running instance count / time period

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

What is the desired functionality that you are missing?
Be able to see how many process instances were active (not started at a specific date, but were running on a date) during the last x days.

Which problem are you going to solve with this functionality?
This is useful for Trend analysis.

      Context:

As documented in the support ticket, users have requested a new feature to display the count of process instances that were running on a particular date. The grouping of this is similar to the count of process instances that were started/ended on a particular date, just that the instances can span however many buckets cover their runtime. This way, instead of only being able to convey information like "On Monday, 3 instances were started", it is also possible to build a report that holds information like "On Monday, 5 instances were running" (for example because 3 instances were started on Monday and 2 instances that were on Tuesday were also still running). Further notes on this can be found in the kickoff meeting notes linked to on confluence.

      AT:

      • Add a new groupBy for running process instances with similar bucket options as start/end date groupBys
      • Document this new GroupBy
