In the past, we have considered whether there would be a benefit of converting Optimize from Spring to Spring Boot. Ultimately, the benefits didn't justify the work involved. Now that we are investigating how we can make Optimize cloud-ready, we should reevaluate this decision. The reason for this is that Spring Boot provides a lot of microservice related libraries, which might now provide more use than before.
