      They would like authentication to be built-in

      Which problem are you going to solve with this functionality?

      Customers using AWS Elasticsearch have to use an aws-proxy to authenticate. This is a source of support requests and adds friction, which delays time to value.

      AWS is a major player in the cloud space and there are roughly a dozen customers who use AWS Elasticsearch.
