User Story
As a process owner
I want a homepage for my process
So that I can gain insights with less effort
Use Cases
- (MH) Manage the process's owner (view, edit, reset)
- (MH) View the current time-based goals (rename to KPIs? targets? KPI targets?)
- (MH) Manage time-based goal alerts
- (MH) Visualize the process diagram
- (MH) View automatically generated process metrics (e.g. default dashboard)
- (SH) Navigate to the process page from an Optimize dashboard (even if shared)
- (SH) Access the process page directly from Modeler
- (SH) Manage the process's high-level goal
- (SH) Perform deeper analysis on process performance (e.g. report builder)
- (SH) Comment on the process diagram
- (SH) Perform Outlier Analysis on the process
- (SH) Perform Branch Analysis on the process
- (NTH) Access the process page directly from Operate
- (NTH) Access the process page directly from Tasklist
- (NTH) View metrics for a user-defined time window
- (NTH) View other active KPIs (alerts) and their values
- (NTH) Manage other active KPIs (alerts)
- (NTH) View linked DMN tables
- (NTH) Manage variable aliases
PM Notes (Customer requests, context, assumptions)
- Additional business-level context is available on PRODHUB-33. This ticket is the single source of truth for scope
- The first metric to optimize is 'time to business goal alert setting'
- Antoine de Saint-Exupéry — 'Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.'
- The more decisions the user has to make, the more mentally taxing it should be.
- In H2 I expect Optimize to provide insights and recommendations starting from the first process instance. For example, the Modeler project owner gets a notification saying one of these:
- "Congrats! Here's a heatmap of how your process performed. Your process took 3 minutes 24 seconds to complete. How long should this process take? (IDEAL RANGE)", then follow up with the unacceptable range
- "Congrats! Here's a heatmap of how your process performed. Your longest duration nodes were (1), (2), (3). We created target values. Do they look good (YES) (NO, edit) (DISMISS)"
- Here's a user flow diagram
