      User Story (Required on creation):

Different process models have different data models and requirements for which data is needed. For example, sometimes a variable must be added during migration to make subsequent Java delegates work.

      Functional Requirements (Required before implementation):

      • Using either API (Java and REST) or Cockpit, variables can be added that will be set during the migration
      • It works for both synchronous and asynchronous (batch) migration
      • Variables can be set to static/scalar values
      • All variable types are supported in the same way as with other variable-modifying UIs in Cockpit

      Technical Requirements (Required before implementation):

      See sub tasks.

      Limitations of Scope (Optional):

      • The variables are always set in the process instance scope
      • Variables cannot be removed during migration (they can be set to null though)
